How to Access It
Project Synapse appears as a Free module inside the Noesia Smart Waiter workspace
Admin path: open the Noesia Smart Waiter admin shell and select Project Synapse from the module navigation.
Tier: Project Synapse belongs to the Free human layer of the platform.
First-run path: install the Synapse knowledge pack, save the OpenAI API key when needed, choose a world, write a question, and press Ask Synapse.

What must be configured before Project Synapse can answer fully
Install the knowledge pack
Use Install Knowledge Pack from the setup panel. Project Synapse downloads the public Synapse Core pack from noesia.io into the WordPress uploads folder.
Save the OpenAI API key
Paste the site-owned OpenAI API key in the setup panel. Leaving the field blank keeps the saved key, while entering a new key replaces it.
Choose the AI model
Select the model profile that fits your site: recommended balance, deeper reasoning, lower cost, or multimodal-ready operation.
Choose a world
Select Ask Synapse, Christianity, Stoicism, Buddhism, Islam, Hinduism, Taoism, or AETHER depending on the type of question or release flow.

Select a world
Choose Ask Synapse for general meaning questions or select a specific tradition such as Christianity, Stoicism, Buddhism, Islam, Hinduism, or Taoism.
Write the question
Use the large query box to write what you need to ask, remember, understand, compare, process, or release.
Ask Synapse
Press Ask Synapse. The module prepares the answer using the selected mode, the local knowledge pack when relevant, short conversation history, and the configured OpenAI model.
Read with context
For tradition-specific scenes, the answer is shaped by the selected source context. For general Ask Synapse mode, the answer stays broader and more flexible.
Use AETHER when needed
Choose AETHER when the goal is not to ask for an answer, but to write private words and release them without storage or audience.

How Project Synapse is commonly used
Ask a general meaning question
Choose Ask Synapse, write the question, and receive a direct answer across life, faith, philosophy, grief, decisions, personal reflection, writing, strategy, or everyday life.
Ask what a tradition says
Choose a specific tradition such as Christianity, Stoicism, Buddhism, Islam, Hinduism, or Taoism. Project Synapse uses the selected context and local sources when available.
Continue a short follow-up
Ask a follow-up such as “explain more” or “continue.” The module uses recent conversation history so the answer can continue the previous subject.
Release unsent words through AETHER
Open AETHER, write what was never said, press Release, and let the message dissolve. This mode is symbolic release, not stored chat and not contact with the dead.
Troubleshooting
Common Project Synapse issues and the first checks
Project Synapse says the knowledge pack is missing
Issue: the module cannot generate full source-grounded answers.
Why it happens: the Synapse Core pack has not been installed or the installed pack files are missing.
What to do: open SET and press Install Knowledge Pack or Refresh Knowledge Pack.
The knowledge pack cannot download
Issue: installation fails while contacting or downloading from noesia.io.
Why it happens: the manifest or zip may be blocked by hosting, CDN, hotlink protection, permissions, or server restrictions.
What to do: verify uploads are writable, the server can access the pack URL, and ZipArchive or PclZip is available.
Project Synapse asks for an OpenAI API key
Issue: the module is ready but cannot generate the full answer.
Why it happens: no OpenAI API key has been saved for the site.
What to do: open SET, paste a valid OpenAI API key, select the model, and save Synapse settings.
OpenAI rejects the API key
Issue: the API request fails after settings are saved.
Why it happens: the key may be invalid, revoked, missing billing, or not permitted for the selected model.
What to do: check the OpenAI API key page, billing status, and selected model.
AETHER is not returning an answer
Issue: the user expects a reply from AETHER.
Why it happens: AETHER is release mode, not answer mode.
